We are a wine bar and bottle shop; we have two locations in Seattle's Capitol Hill.

We serve glasses & bottles of wine from family owned, small production bodegas from all over the wine-producing world. It might be a biodynamic supernatural white wine from a madman in Slovenia, or the product of the sweetest couple in the state of Washington. We want to pair wine for your meals or any occasion. Whatever it is, please know, that as much as it is within our power to do so, we are presenting you with the best there is.

LOWER BAR FERDINAND

Located in Melrose Market, Lower Bar Ferdinand is our original location. Here, we focus on sharing with you our rotating wine selection and showcase it through public tasting events each Tuesday; check our wine notes page for our event details and tasting notes. Stop by for a glass of wine at the bar and a plate of well-prepared, uncomplicated bar food, or shop our retail shelves for something to takeaway.

UPPER BAR FERDINAND

Upper Bar Ferdinand is our new project in Capitol Hill's Chophouse Row. Our focus here is still very much on our wines. However, we are able to pair our offerings with a food menu of simply prepared dry aged and cured meats, cooked in our open fireplace, and local seafood, served raw, cured or smoked in our passive heat masonry smoker. We have a small bread and pizza program, as well as a selection of vegetables, prepared pickled or roasted. A sample menu can be seen here.
